How to request deletion of your data from Scavenger Hunt Club
At Brawn Design, LLC, we respect your right to control your personal information. This document explains how you can request deletion of your data from the Scavenger Hunt app, what happens when you do, and what to expect throughout the process.

We will verify your identity before processing your request. Please allow up to 5 business days for email requests to be initiated.
When you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time:
This grace period protects you in case you change your mind or if your account was compromised.
If you change your mind during the 30-day grace period:
Your account will immediately return to active status.
When your account deletion is processed, we permanently delete:

To preserve the integrity of shared experiences for other users, some data is anonymized rather than deleted:

| Chat Messages | Your name is replaced with "Deleted User" and your profile photo is removed. Message content is retained for context but remains subject to the standard 90-day rolling retention window and is permanently deleted after that period. |
| Photo Submissions | Your name is replaced with "Deleted User." Photos remain visible to preserve team scores and hunt history. |
| Team Ownership | Teams you created are transferred to the league owner to ensure continuity for other members. |
Certain data must be retained for legal and business compliance:

Purchase records are anonymized (your personal identifiers are removed) but transaction details are retained as required by law.
Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data. This is your right under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar privacy regulations.
Data exports are provided in a machine-readable JSON format.
When you use Scavenger Hunt, some of your data may be shared with third-party services. Deleting your Scavenger Hunt account does not automatically delete data held by these third parties:

If you are the parent or guardian of a user under 13 years old (or under 16 in the EU/UK), you may request deletion of their account by contacting us at support@brawndesign.com with proof of your relationship to the child.
To request deletion of a deceased user's account, please contact support@brawndesign.com with appropriate documentation.
If your account was deactivated by an administrator due to a Terms of Service violation, you may still request data deletion. Contact support@brawndesign.com for assistance.
